Pediatric Prosthetics & Orthotics
We place children as a high priority here at Capital Prosthetics & Orthotics. Whether your child’s needs are temporary or lifelong we are here to help every step of the way!
The "why" behind the "what"
Chase’s passion for pediatric Prosthetics and Orthotics not only affects him professionally but personally. Chase and his wife Meagan have two adopted children from Ethiopia who are both missing limbs. Raising children who experience the challenges of living with a disability gives Chase an intimate understanding of the needs of his patients and those who care for them.
Prosthetics & Orthotics for children is very different than it is for adults. Although the technology and the principle remain the same, children handle their devices in a unique way. Chase understands that building a relationship with the child is equally as important as building a relationship with the parent. In the case of children, parents and the prosthetist/orthotist work in close partnership throughout the entire process of fitting the child. We strive to make children feel as comfortable as we can and get them fitted in a way that allows them to thrive in every area of their life.
We believe that every child should have the opportunity to try orthotic or prosthetic devices to allow them the abilities and freedom they desire. We are committed to working as a team with the pediatric patient, caregivers and medical team to think "out of the box" for solutions that provide the very best device for the patient.
